you turned ten weeks old yesterday! this past week i have had the pleasure of watching you figure out the joys of shoving your fist in your mouth. it's apparent you are really trying for the thumb, but you're not quite there yet, little one, and get rather upset at times when it doesn't happen. patience grasshopper.
another thing you are mastering these days is breaking out of the little co-sleeper thingy i've had you in since birth. we got it before you were born because folks (your grandparents!) were convinced i'd squish you in my sleep if i choose to keep you in bed with me, so i compromised and got this little "sleeper" that lays in the bed with me that keeps you semi-contained. but, being the little heat seeking missile that you are, you have worn down the mesh side and are squirming out of it now every night to get close to me. i usually wake up when you are halfway out or so and move you back in, out of habit, not out of fear of harming you. the last few days i have just been tossing the co-sleeper out of the bed and letting you have your way and i suspect it will soon be a thing of the past. i took the photo above in the middle of the night as you were making your grand escape. (yes, i woke up and took the photo)
i love you, my little houdhini!
